Freshman Class Whitewater Rafting Trip - September 26, 2018

Freshman Class Whitewater Rafting Trip 

All WHS Freshman are invited to participate in a field trip to raft the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River with Wildwater Ltd. Sign up with Mr. Powell, Mr. Jensen or Mrs. Gladys and complete a parent permission slip, field trip permission slip, and Wild Water LTD. safety waiver
● Cost of the trip is $45. This includes rafting section III of the Chattooga, lunch on the river, wetsuit, and bus transportation from school. (regular cost of rafting section III of the Chattooga is $99)
● When: Wednesday, September 26,  8:00 am-4:30pm
● How: In order to attend students must have all permission slips and money turned in by Friday, September 21.

What do I wear?
o River booties can be rented at Wildwater for $5 per pair
o Tennis shoes and Sandals (no flip flops) are acceptable
o Cotton clothing is not recommended.
o Wetsuits will be available at Wildwater
o Fleece, synthetics, polyester, “underarmor type” fabric will keep you warm when wet (cotton will not wick moister and you will be cold)

Trip participants will meet in the Commons area 8:00 on Wednesday September 26th. 
Bus will depart from the school at 8:15 for Long Creek. Bus will return around 4:00-4:30pm on Wednesday (it is difficult to know an exact time we will return as some river trips take longer than others)
